docbook + svg + tiff

Hi,

I am working on docbook documents with embedded svg.
Some svg display images most of them in tiff format. Some images show nicely others don't and break the display of the complete svg element.

I have isolate the svg in a file and try to display it using the oXygen SVG tool, without success.

I thought it was a problem inside tiff images so I used gimp and photoshop to generate jpeg from the tiff images and them regenerate tiff from jpeg, the jpeg is allways nicely displayed but not the tiff (even the re-created).

I have noticed the svg frament with tiff images is nicely displayed using batik-squiggel or inkscape, so the svg frament and the tiff images are ok.

What is happening, what can I do ?

Best regards,
Bulbab

Hi,

So you are referring to the visual editing Author mode, right?
Could you send us a sample image to support@oxygenxml.com?
Viewing TIFF files does not work out of the box in the Author mode, a separate Java library called JAI needs to be installed and used, we have a topic in our user guide explaining this:
