Hi!

Is there a way to find out the size of an image using the Archive Browser or Image Preview without having to extract it?

Apple epubs don't take images larger than 2 million pixels, and I don't want to have to extract every image in the epub to see how large it is.

Hello,

Oxygen does not provide image information such as resolution in the properties dialog/view or Image Preview. We should be able to easily add this information in the Image Preview panel in a future version (I've logged an improvement request).

The only information you can obtain in the Archive Browser without extracting the images is the file size (right click on the file and pick Properties from the contextual menu).

To solve your problem, you could extract the entire epub (all files including images) from the Archive Browser (right click on the EPUB name, and from the contextual menu pick Extract...) or a ZIP tool. Then you can browse the folder for images and check their resolution in Windows Explorer or a specialized image tool.
