No topics available from TOC in 14.1 build

Builds result in "Error 6 (net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND). The file or directory could not be found" error message on topic pages displayed in Chrome when we build with the dita.extname scenario parameter set to .dita. In Safari and Firefox, the topics are also not accessible from the TOC. However, in all browsers, you can use Search to find a topic and display it that way. We have found that unsetting the dita.extname parameter or setting it to .xml work around the problem, but we are using the .dita extension.

Is this a known problem in oXygen Author 14.1, build 2012111217? Is a fix coming soon? Anything we are not considering?

Hi,

You do not need to set that parameter, the WebHelp output should work even if you do not set it, regardless of the extensions you are using for your DITA topics.
That parameter is used to specify a fixed extension to the DITA topics which are copied in the transformation temporary files directory, according to its description in the DITA OT documentation:
Defines the file extension for content files in the directory specified with the dita.temp.dir property.
But we will also fix this issue on our side.

Radu

Hi,

Oxygen 14.2 was just released:

http://www.oxygenxml.com/index.html#new-version

and at also contains a fix for the WebHelp output when the dita.extname is set to values other than .xml.
