Track changes in PDF output

Post by daveg »

Hi,

I'm looking for help with change bars.

I want change bars to appear in my PDF output where I set the status attribute to 'Changed'.
Is there a quick way to do this using condition sets or changing something in an xsl file somewhere?

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,

There is no simple answer for this.
I'm assuming you are using DITA.
This is usually done in the XSLT stylesheets but if the framework does not have support for this you would have to make the modifications yourself.

Here is a discussion about this on the DITA Users List:

If you make the modifications you will probably also have to use the commercial XEP for PDF rendering as Apache FOP as long as I know does not yet support change bars.
