Oxygen unusable while working on remote files

I work remotely and connect to my company's network resources via VPN. Typically when working directly with files on the network, open and save times are slower, but otherwise performance is fine, and most applications save/write in the background so the application doesn't hang while working.

Oxygen, however, is cripplingly slow when working on remote files. The entire app hangs while opening or saving a remote file. And once open, the application frequently becomes unresponsive during editing.

To workaround this, any time I need to work on a file on my company's network, I have to copy the remote file to my computer, make edits, and then copy it back.

Please update Oxygen to play nice with remote files. Most every other editing application already does this.

Hello,

Starting with v12.2 additional checks will be performed for Windows/Samba network shares/UNC paths(e.g. \\hostname\share) to avoid overhead. Unfortunately not much can be done for network mapped drives. It's difficult to determine(in Java) whether the drive is local or network mapped.
