Default Schema Editor View

Hi,

When I open a schema file in Oxygen XML editor it automatically splits the view into a diagram and markup.

Is it possible to make it so the diagram is initially closed? I have had a look through the settings, but I cannot find one to do this.

Many thanks,
Lea Hayes

Hi Lea,

On version 10.1
disable Options->Preferences -- Editor / Pages / Text / Diagram
Show Full Model XML Schema Diagram

Best Regards,
George

Turning off the Schema Diagram View was something I was looking for, too.
Thanks for the pointer to the Preferences.

As a suggestion, it would be nice to be able to show/no-show the diagram quicker than tracing though a menu hierarchy and the preferences dialog.

Could we maybe have a button? Currently, there is 'Text', 'Grid', 'Author', 'Design' button. How about adding 'Text+Diagram'?

Thanks,

- mike

Hello mike,

There are two small buttons for hiding and showing the diagram of the XML Schema on the separator line (the line which you drag with the mouse to resize the panel) between the text editor panel and the diagram one. The up triangle button hides the diagram while the down triangle one shows it again.
