For the last days I laboured on customizing stylesheets in order to generate PDF output from DITA files that I edited with Oxygen. Now my expectation was that switching to the Author editor and loading the same DITA MAP files and configuring the same transformation scenario the same output gets generated. Sadly that seems not to be the case. Rather the output appears to be completely free of any stylesheet customizations of mine. What would be needed to remedy this issue?

So sorry for the delay, this one slipped through.
From what I understand you open the map not in the DITA Maps Manager view but in the main editor area.
Indeed the transformation of the map from the main editor area is not done through the DITA Open Toolkit ANT transformations and is not equivalent with transforming it from the DITA Maps Manager view.
We have already an improvement request to make this consistent.
