OxygenXML 9.2 appears to break Flex Builder 3 CSS Editor

Hi, it appears that OxygenXML 9.2 causes a conflict with Flex Builder 3 in eclipse 3.3. What happens is that the for some reason Flex Builder's CSS editor is either overriden or conflicts with something within the OxygenXML packages causing it to operate as a plain text editor. Removing the OxygenXML plugins and features restores the Flex Builder CSS editor back to it's normal functionality.

I'm not saying it is an OxygenXML issue, but I just wanted to raise it in case you have any ideas.

If you have never seen the Flex Builder CSS editor here are a few grabs:

What it looks like if OxygenXML is present, (but not open) in eclipse: http://www.grabup.com/uploads/f9a0c72d2 ... bc4d6f.png

Hello,

If you install only the Oxygen plugin without the Flex Builder plugin you see that a CSS file opened with the Oxygen CSS Editor (right click on the .css file and select Open With -> Oxygen CSS Editor) has a coloring scheme: the CSS is not displayed as a text file using only black foreground color but using the colors defined from Window -> Preferences -> oXygen -> Editor -> Syntax Highlight -> CSS. It seems a conflict between the two plugins. We will try to find what causes the text editor without colors and how it can be fixed.

Sorin

Hi,

I've installed the latest 9.3 version of the oXygen plugin in a 3.3.2 version of Eclipse (Build id: M20080221-1800).
Both the Flex's CSS editor and the oXygen's one had the Syntax Highlighting working fine.
Please consider installing the latest oXygen build (version 9.3, build 2008072212).

Regards,
Mircea.

Hi Sorin, Mircea, I have 9.3 installed now and the problem still persists (it may be something left over from 9.2??). I'm going to create a new install of eclipse and test the installation process to see if there is a particular order that they both need to be installed in to get the Flex Builder design view to operate correctly.

I'll post an update if I have any break through.

Hello,

The order of installing the plugins should not be important. If the problem persists please post the build number of Eclipse, the build number of the Oxygen plugin (Window -> Preferences -> Oxygen) and the version of Flex Builder.

Sorin
