I’ve just found a very weird issue, and would like to confirm if it is the same elsewhere.

I was training my team and one member of the team installed oXygen in French.

It didn’t seem to be a problem, until we found that all dita files she opened failed validation against the DTD.
No matter what we did, we could not get a validation successful message.

I then noticed that her instance of oXygen was in French. We changed to English, restarted the oXygen, and reopened the files.
All green. Successful validation everywhere.

Has anyone else experienced this?
This issue is only present in the French localization of oXygen, I tried other languages and they validated OK. (German, Dutch, Japanese…)

I tried to reproduce this problem with a stock installation of Oxygen 19.1 (both with XML Editor and XML Author) but I am unable to, I open a standard DITA topic and I can validate it.
If you are having various customizations done to the Oxygen DITA framework or extra plugins installed in Oxygen, this might be the cause.

Hi,
This happened on a colleagues PC and I managed to diagnose and reproduce it on my PC.
Our oXygen is linked to Astoria CCMS, could that be an issue?
Would you like to schedule a call so that you can "see" the issue?

Can you try to reproduce this with a clean Oxygen installaton, opening regular DITA topics without any Astoria plugins and extensions added? If this cannot be reproduced, then you should contact Astoria and tell them to investigate further.
