Hello,
is there a possiblity to make line feeds and line breaks visible, when i open a XML document in Oxygen Editor 19.0 text mode.
In NOTEPAD++ i can show them (look at the link).
What do i have to do , to have the same view in Oxygen?
Find an example of Oxygen in this ZIP-File:

Thanks
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
In the Oxygen Preferences->"Editor" page there is a "Whitespaces" section in which you can decide to show markers for various whitespace-related characters.

Hi,
is there any chance to expand the list of characters that are shown? Or add an option to display non-printing characters?
The following shows nothing at all between the "m" and ":" in Oxygen Author but produces an output with a paragraphbreak (Dita output via an external program)
Simplified Block Diagram
:
There's a U+2029 in between the two characters.
VSCode displays it like this:
- special_characters.png (1.97 KiB) Viewed 1753 times
I suppose a list that could be used (as a starting point) is already there (Options->Format->XML->Whitespaces)
Thanks,

Hi,
We have an internal issue for this:
EXM-43056 Draw more space characters in the Text/Author edit modes
I added your details to it and if we manage to implement it in a future version we'll update this forum thread.
Maybe to help you with this, in the Oxygen Preferences->Fonts page you can change the "Author" font to be "Monospaced", in this way you should at least see a space where that character is placed.
Or insert that character a a hexadecial entity "
" in the XML document and at least you will see where it is placed.

Radu

Hi Radu,
thanks for the response. This is about unintended copy-paste insertion messing with the publication so the Monospace sounds good. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work (Tested in v. 23.1) I set everything to Monospace under Preferences->Fonts but neither in Author nor in Textview there is a space displayed.
Thanks,
