Uninstalling OxygenXML and IE 6 issue

Hello, I downloaded the trial version of oxygenXML then after it expired I uninstalled it. Now my IE no longer displays xml files. Meaning it just shows up as plain text, no more formatting (the tree format, with clickable nodes) that IE 6 usually displays. Another person at my workplace also had this issue as well. He installed the demo then uninstalled it, then his IE 6 would no longer display the XML as it used to. It only shows up as grey text now.

Any ideas? I figured when uninstalling oxygen something must have occured.

Hi,
There is a problem with the file associations after uninstall as the XML extension should have been associated with Internet Explorer. We have already fixed the problem and the fix will be available in the next release.

If the XML extension is no longer associated with any program, the workaround to restore the IE association is: Start Windows Explorer then go to the menu Tools, Folder Options, and then to the tab "File Types". Click on the button "New", write XML in the "File Extension" field, then click Advanced and choose "XML Document" from the "Associated File Type" combo and press "OK".

Best regards,
Adrian.
