Hi,

I use a french version of Oxygen XML editor, however, when I generate the schema documentation, the template is in English. Is there a simple way to edit the template?

Thanks.

Hello,

To customize the Schema Documentation you need to edit the following stylesheets (these are a copy of the Oxygen builtin stylesheets):

[Oxygen-install-dir]/frameworks/schema_documentation/xsl/xsdDocDocbook.xsl for the PDF/ Docbok output
[Oxygen-install-dir]/frameworks/schema_documentation/xsl/xsdDocHtml.xsl for the HTML output

To use one of the modified stylesheets in the Schema Documentation dialog you have to use Format: Custom, press the Options button and choose as Custom XSL: Oxygen/frameworks/schema_documentation/xsl/xsdDocDocbook.xsl (for the PDF format) or [Oxygen-install-dir]/frameworks/schema_documentation/xsl/xsdDocHtml.xsl (for the HTML format).
Also enable the option "Copy additional resources...".

For HTML output you need to specify in the "Output File" section the name of the output file followed by the .html extension.

Note that the PDF output is not produced directly, this will generate an XML document(DocBook) that you can then open in Oxygen and transform to PDF(Document -> Transformation -> Configure Transformation Scenario, choose Docbook PDF and press "Transform now").
So, in the "Output File" field you need to specify the name of this intermediary XML file (.xml extension)

To obtain a transformation scenario with the same PDF styling, duplicate the DocBook PDF transformation scenario and:
- Give the new scenario a proper name e.g. DocBook XSD Doc PDF
- Change the stylesheet(XSL URL) to: <Oxygen>/frameworks/docbook/oxygen/xsdDocDocbookCustomizationFO.xsl
Applying this transformation scenario will yield the same styling as when generating the PDF directly from the Schema Documentation dialog.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

Ionela
