Parameter alpha must not be null

I just got <oXygen/> XML Editor 17.1, build 2015111718 and trying to run the default DITA MAP PDF transform scenario out of the box. It is failing with:

[fop] [ERROR] Anttask - Error rendering fo file: C:\htdocs\dita\DITAExplained\temp\pdf\oxygen_dita_temp\topic.fo <org.apache.fop.apps.FOPException: Parameter alpha must not be null

This is on Win 7 64-bit. I've not seen this error before, and usually the OOB scenarios work just fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Hi,

This problem is related to the Apache FOP processor which tries to embed an image in the constructed PDF and fails to retrieve its alpha channel.

Usually such issues are resolved by finding the problem image and re-saving it with different alpha settings.

Flattening the image in GIMP and re-exporting seems to have cleared up the problem.

As always, thanks for your quick and excellent support! oXygen truly has the best customer support in the industry.
