xsl-fo on IE browser with xslt and html and xhtml meta tags

Hello all,

I am a newbie at xsl-fo and currently I am working on a report that requires page header and page footer on every single page that is printed. Basically, my file output is .html so when I print a page from the browser I want the printer to use my custom header and footer.

I tried using VBScript and JavaScript to do this but it didn't work out. I did some reading and understood that xsl-fo does have a feature that will allow me to add on custom page header and footer. AmI correct?

Basically, my question is that, does anyone know whether xsl-fo can have outputs in IE web browser and can xsl-fo be mixed with xslt, html and xhtml to produce an output in .hmtl file format.

Thanks so much in advance for reading and replying! If you can help, please help me out since this is an urgent issue.

Thanks.
Grace :)

Hello,

You should not mix XSL-FO with HTML or XHTML. XSL-FO is used for generating PDF output.
