Getting document from InDesign

I need to get documents created in InDesign, turned into a useful xml format like TEI.

Does anybody have a suggestion on what would be the best format to export out of InDesign that I can then transform into TEI?

I've looked at the Tagged Text format but it doesn't contain all the information, its an incomplete export.

I'm going to look at the IDML export and see what that contains.

Anybody done this already?

thanks,

Scott

Hi Scott,

You probably have to export the file to some kind of XML structure (at least to HTML) and then process that file with an XSLT stylesheet to convert to TEI XML.

Hello,

Please look at the following video demonstration that shows how you can convert HTML content to a TEI document. Both TEI P4 and TEI P5 are supported:

Copy/Paste from Web and Office Documents to DITA, DocBook, TEI, XHTML Documents
