When oXygen 12.0 opens a docbook .xml file that is full of xrefs, it will pull all the .xml documents together so that they can be viewed in the editor. For example A contains refrences B and C, if I open A it will show me B and C. oXygen will even show the images that are in B and C, even though the image filerefs are relative (to where B and C are located).

So how do I replicate the that process so that image fileref are updated when I view document A?

I don't understand the context where you want to replicate this behavior?
Can you elaborate?
