Does Oxygen XML support DITA Map Specialization?

Hi,

Using OxygenXML Editor 13.2 on Windows XP.

I have created a Map specialization and deployed the pieces to the DITA-OT, but opening the specialized map file in the Oxygen DITA Maps Manager does not show me all the things the map is pointing to, the way it does for non-specialized Maps. I can validate the map file against the specialized DTDs, but I cannot add content to the map file. The shipped Maps XHTML transformation scripts are also not giving any output.

So, that's my question, does Oxygen 13 support specialized Maps such that I can add content, move content around and remove content from the map from the DITA Maps Manager, and can I use the XHTML transformation scripts with the specialized maps?

If you tell me 'yes', then I know I have a flaw in my design/script, but if you tell me 'no', then I can stop looking to fix things on my end.

Thanks,

- m

Hi Mike,

Yes, the DITA Maps Manager view should display and allow editing of valid DITA Map specializations.
The tree should show and allow insertion of topic references for which the default value of the @class attribute contains map/topicref.
If you can send us the specialization DTDs and some sample DITA Maps at the support@oxygenxml.com email address I could try to take a look at them and give you more details.

Regards,
Radu

Hi Radu,

Knowing that OxygenXML supported Map Specialization was enough to keep me looking for an answer in my code.

My fear was I would spend a lot of time searching only to find out later Map Specialization wasn't supported. But, since I knew it was I went back through the code and eventually found the problem.

Thanks for the offer, though!
