Had recently upgraded the Oxygen Author application to version 28.0, build 2025122408. Encountering a strange issue while working on existing project files. While saving .dita files or opening a bookmap ditamap, the application seems to freeze for more than three minutes. This happens when saving a single file as well as all files. Had not seen this issue with earlier versions of Oxygen Author. Can you suggest me a fix for this issue?

You are working with DITA XML topics and maps from the local disk, correct?

Can you contact us directly via email (support@oxygenxml.com)? Maybe you can enable full debug logging in the application following the steps below and share with us the created log files:

One can create a "logback.xml" file in the Oxygen installation folder with the content specified here:
https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/ ... -form.html
Then open Oxygen, reproduce the delays, close Oxygen and on your desktop there should be an "oxygenLog" folder which you can zip and email to us.

Thanks for reply. Yes sure i can share the log, but you can easily reproduce the error at your end when you have XPR file with multiple ditamaps and dita files. When you open a ditamap or save a ditamap or even when you switch to open a deliverable XML you can encounter this issue. I am not sure how i can share the log for this scenario. Note that we cannot share the contents as its confidential.

This forum post was started 2 years ago, maybe you can send us an email directly (support@oxygenxml.com) and give us more information (Oxygen version, if you have extra plugins installed, etc). You can also use the Oxygen main menu Help->"Report problem" to contact us from the application and provide various application specific installation details.
