Hi,
I have opened a Ditamap (not part of an Oxygen project) that has 4 child topics. I only seem to be able to view the map either in the DITA Maps Manager view OR the Oxygen Editor View.
Is this as expected or can I change settings to view it in both?

Hello Ann,

If you use right-click to show the contextual menu for the tree root inside the DITA Maps Manager, you should see an "Open map in Editor" action. The same action is also available in the DITA Maps Manager toolbar.

Also, in the contextual menu shown for the editor tab (where the filename is displayed) in the main editing area, an "Open in DITA Maps Manager" view actions should be available.

Do these actions work for you?

Hi Sorin,
Yes, both those options are available to me but when the map opens in editor it disappears from the tree view in maps manager, and when it opens in maps manager the file disappears from the editor. This is only happening for some maps and I don't understand why it is happening.
Is this a known feature?

No, this is not a feature in Oxygen. I haven't heard about this kind of behavior until now.

Do you have any plugins installed in Oxygen? Perhaps a CMS plugin? And could you also try the same scenarios in a freshly installed Oxygen, without any plugins or other customizations?

Yes, I am using the SDL Authoring Bridge to Oxygen.
So that is probably what is causing this behaviour?

Yes, I would say the SDL plug-in is guilty of this.
