PDF layout customization

Hi,

I am new to DITA and although I like the structural writing, I am still having difficulties figuring out how to create a template for the layout.

Searching around I came across the http://dita-generator.elovirta.com/ plugin generator.

I created one and unzipped it in the DITA-OT2.x/plugins directory.
I also runned the Run DITA-OT Integrator. which gave back an exit code 0. So I assume it went correctly (Can I check this somewhere?)

But I don't see any new transformation scenario. How do I now use the newly installed plugin?

Hi,

Indeed, once you have deployed your plugin in the plugins subfolder of the DITA-OT2.x, prior to being able to use your plugin, it is essential to ran the DITA-OT integrator, which comes in oXygen as a predefined scenario in the transformation scenarios list from the "Configure Transformation Scenario(s)" dialog as you have already done.

Detailed information about installing a plugin in the DITA-OT you are using are available in our User-Guide, at:
https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/ ... lugin.html

If you successfully integrated your plugin with the DITA-OT, you should be able to find the custom transformation types (transtypes) defined through the plugin in the DITA Transformation Type dialog/chooser. To reach the DITA Transformation Type dialog, you should go into the "Configure Transformation Scenario(s)" dialog and click New, then choose "DITA-OT Transformation". If there are custom transtypes defined in your plugin, you should be able to find them listed in the scenarios list from that dialog.

Should you need additional assistance or other information feel free to let us know.
