Hello,

I have a project from which I build 2 manuals using Oxygen 19.0 and the DITA-OT 2.4.4. In the temp directory after building one of the manuals, there are 34 files that belong only to the other manual.

They are definitely not in the map I'm building from. They are listed in the hreftargets.list file, so I searched (Search In Files) all the shared files in my project for any xrefs to these files, but the search returned nothing. I also searched all of the files in the manual I'm building just to be sure, and nothing. I opened all of the shared files, and looked at them individually, and still found nothing.

Is there anything else that might cause these files to be pulled into the temp directory for this manual? Any other suggestions for troubleshooting would be appreciated.

Hi,

If after removing the temporary directory and publishing that particular manual you still have those extra files after publishing, then they are probably indirectly referenced in the DITA project files.
If you open the published DITA Map in the DITA Maps Manager and use the "Validate and check for completeness" action, with the "Report references to resources not referenced in the DITA Map" checked and a reference to the DITAVAL filter you are using (if you are using one), Oxygen might report indirect references to those resources.

Ok, I built each section individually and was able to locate the source of the problem. There were some references within references that were causing the issue. Thanks.
