Issue in Find and Replace function

Hi Team,

I am using oXygen XML Author 18 currently.
In author mode, mark a couple of lines, press ctrl+F, enter a search term available both inside and outside of the selection. Also enter a term to replace with. Now press "Replace All". Bug: Every search term, even outside the selection, is replaced.
And it is working properly in Text mode.

If it is a bug, please let me know when it will be fixed.

Thank you!

Regards,
Mounika

Hi,

In Text mode, when you make a selection that spans across two or more lines and invoke the Find/Replace dialog (Ctrl+F), it automatically switches the Scope option to "Only selected lines" and highlights the lines in the editor. This means it searches only in that scope. This option is not available in Author mode (it shows as disabled), thus the functionality it provides is not available either.

I have logged a feature request on our issue tracking tool to also implement this for the Author mode. For future reference it is issue EXM-39334.
We will notify this thread when it is implemented.

Regards,
Adrian

Hi,

We released Oxygen 19.1 a couple of days ago and it should fix the problem with "Replace all" in selection not being available in the Author visual editing mode.
