switching fonts

I'd like to ask if you could add a menue button to toggle 2 different fonts.
I'm working on documents in docbook format and with XML confiugration files.
While a proportional font is appropriate for the docbook files I'd prefer to view the configuration files with a monospaced font. Thus a button for toggling proprtional/mono would be very convenient.
