The mouse pointer should disappear when the user begins typing and reappear when the user moves the mouse. Otherwise the mouse pointer can overlay the spot on the screen where the user is typing. This happens with surprising frequency. Every other text editor I've used, from simple plain-text editors to Microsoft Word (and even this textarea in the web browser I'm typing into right now), have this behavior of hiding/showing the mouse pointer as needed.

I'm using Oxygen 14.1 on Mac OS 10.6.8.
