Subversion 1.7 support

Will oXygen's SVN client be adding support for Subversion 1.7? 1.7 adds a number of nice features (I'm pasting the following in from an email from Assembla.com, my SVN repository provider):

"Server operations are faster in version 1.7. HTTPv2 and libserf reduce the "chattiness" of subversion and allow for faster pulls and pushes to the repository over http and https. The server is now tunable to allow for various caching mechanisms and data compression.

"On your local working copy, the Subversion information is centralized and those annoying .svn files go away because only one ".svn" directory is created. This centralized metadata also makes svn operations faster."

Thank you,
Joe

Hi,

We will add support for SVN 1.7 as soon as possible. The SVN client is based on SVNKit library (not the native Subversion library), thus we are waiting an official version of SVNKit supporting SVN 1.7 to be released. Furthermore, the integration process imposes major changes in the SVN Client, regarding the internal architecture, since the architecture of the working copy was changed and some of its features need to be re-written in order to maintain compatibility between SVN 1.6 and SVN 1.7.

I cannot give an exact date when the SVN Client will add support for SVN 1.7, but I can assume this will not be before Spring 2012.

Best regards,

Thank you, Florin! Supporting 1.7 does sound like a challenge. I appreciate all the efforts that have gone into making oXygen the great tool it is; and I look forward to its continuing improvement.

Hi,

At this point, major part of what was needed for supporting SVN 1.7 is almost done. There are still small things to put in place and to test, but we're on a straight line.

Unfortunately, since <oXygen/> 14.0 is about to be released, SVN 1.7 support will not be included with it because of the short time between finishing work on SVN and <oXygen/> release date (at least, not in the official release; most probably will come with 14.1). So, the internal SVN Client will be updated to what is now in Syncro SVN Client 7.2:
http://www.syncrosvnclient.com/history.html

Anyway, Syncro SVN Client 8 is about to be released in a couple of weeks and it will include support for SVN 1.7.

Hello,

<oXygen/> XML Editor 14.1 was released a few days ago, and it contains the latest Syncro SVN Client version, with support for Subversion 1.7.
