Oxygen XML Forum

Hello,

is there any SDK or Plugin system for Oxygen? I didn't find anything like that. I think this could be good idea to think about to connect community to development of Oxygen in the future. Of course there are common issues with decision to make commercial software opened/part opened/closed. I would like to know what's on mind of Oxygen team regarding this idea.

Hi Ladislav,

We have a special SDK page on our web site:

Basically Oxygen can be extended either by:

1) Creating new plugins for it (only for the standalone version of Oxygen):

2) Creating a new framework/document type for editing in Oxygen a specific XML vocabulary:
http://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/ug-editor/ ... intro.html

These extensions are usually used to make your own customizations of Oxygen for a certain target audience.

Oxygen is a commercial closed-source project but any idea that you have about improvements to Oxygen is welcomed.
