I have reinstalled wysiwyg perform to see if it would fix rendering problems but now i get this error message on load up
"Error loading document File version is greater than application" does anyone know what this is

I do not understand what you did and that message does not sound familiar.
Please provide more details:
oXygen version
operating system
java version
oXygen distribution (standalone/eclipse plugin)

what have you tried and what do you get exactly. Eventually send a screenshot to support@oxygenxml.com to allow us to better understand what happens.
