Creating a topic from the dita maps manager

Hello,

A year ago, in Oxygen 11, when I wanted to create a topic, I:
  • in the DITA maps manager, I double clicked on the topicref
  • I got a message telling me that hte file did not exist but that I could create a new one
  • I clicked "Create a new file"
  • A new topic was created according to the topicref @href, from a topic template and according to @type (concept, task, etc.)
Now when I create a topic by double clicking on a topicref in the DITA maps manager, it creates an empty file.

So, question:
Is it possible to configure this behavior in Oxygen for Eclipse 12.1.0 v2011021814?

Thanks in advance,
Colin

Hi Colin,

Actually the feature you are discussing was only available on the Oxygen standalone version for a long time.
But it was added also in the Eclipse plugin in Oxygen 12.2. So if you use an Oxygen 12.2 Eclipse plugin you should have the new from templates wizard available when double clicking an invalid reference.

Radu

By the way, the email address you gave for receiving forum notifications seems to be invalid. If you think the address is correct we can give you more details if you contact us using the regular (support at oxygenxml dot com) technical support email address.

Hi Radu,

Actually, I had installed Eclipse in c:/program files in Windows 7. Given I didn't have write access, auto-update always failed without notice.

The feature works great, thanks!
