Keep Open on Close

Hello,

Some applications that take a while to start have an option to remain open when the user closes the application (keeping an icon in the system tray usually). Would it be possible to add such functionality so that if I were to have it enabled and closed the editor, then opened an XML file, the already open instance would be used (even though the window was originally closed)?

Thank you

Hello,

On Mac OS X that is already implemented. The application remains in memory when it is closed with the Close button and the icon of the application remains on the OS X dock bar so that the application can be reopened quickly when an XML file, an XSLT file, an XSD file, etc. is opened. The action Quit must be executed for exiting the application and releasing all the memory taken by the Oxygen application.

We will consider implementing that on other platforms too in a future version.
