ZEN CODING request!

Zen Coding is probably the most fantastic way to write XML (and other structured languages) I've ever seen!

If you don't know Zen Coding, the best way to learn about it is to watch the demo video:

http://vimeo.com/7405114

…and then check out the homepage if you want to learn more:

http://code.google.com/p/zen-coding/

Although there is already a Zen Coding plugin for Eclipse, I hate using Eclipse. I use standalone oXygen unless I absolutely have no other choice. I would love to see support for Zen Coding in standalone oXygen.

And at the end of the day, it's one of the most direct enhancements I can think of to further oXygen's core purpose:

To make it as easy as possible for humans to write XML.

What do you say? :D

Hi Zearin,

We added your request to our issues list and it will be discussed.
Of course, if the poll is voted by many users this will improve the chances of the feature being implemented sooner.
For now you can use the Oxygen code templates to quickly insert XML fragments:
http://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/ug-oxygen/ ... lates.html
In Oxygen 12 code templates will also be available in the Author page.

Regards,
Radu
