Hello,

spell check should work also only for a selected text. Now it always starts at the beginning of a document...

Hello,

No, spell checking does not have to start at the beginning of the document. There is a checkbox called Begin at caret position in the spell checking dialog. You can move the cusrsor at the beginning at the section that you want to check and start there.
