Enhanced DTD functions

Hello Oxygen Team

I wonder if it would be possible to make a visual designer for DTDs.
As of today a still work almost exclusivly with DTDs and I don't think this will change in the foreseeable future. (I'm working in the technical documentation area).

I would envision something like the Near&Far Designer tool.

Even if it would only serve as an viewer without editing capabilities it would still be very useful to easily get an overview of an DTD with all includes entites etc.

Thinking of it, a very useful first step would be "Generate Documentation" function for DTD. Today I first convert my DTDs into W3C schema and then fire up the documentation tool but that is really cumbersome.

Just some ideas ... please keep up the good work! ... I'm totally depend on Oxygen for my XSLT work :)

Hello,

Thank you for your suggestion. We do not have a plan for a visual designer for DTDs but we will consider it.

Sorin

I would love a visualisation tool for DTDs also. I don't use such tools for DTD design but a viewer would be greatly appreciated. Like tahlers, I won't be moving to other schema languages in the foreseeable future.

(Relax NG would be nice but most editor environments I work with do not support that.)
