Repeat - function

What I'm missing is a repeat-function with a keyboard shortcut (for instance ctrl - Y).

Example:

With 'right click' - 'Surround in' I put the tag <table> around a marked section.
I would like now to use a keyboard shortcut to do the same for another marked section (and so on).

This would make life easier for me, as I have to put quite a lot of tags around already written text.

Probably this feature will not enter the next release (2.0), but I am scheduling this for the one to come after (2.1).
