"more/less" in the Search-and-Replace dialog

I would be good to be able to reduce the size of the S&R dialog after having set all the necessary parameters. Sometimes the dialog stands in the way, and you have to move it around in order to see more of the context. Hiding the "direction/scope/options" part would cut the size by some 50%, that's quite a gain.
Thanks for considering this.

Hello,
Did you try
the Quick Find toolbar? The default shortcut for displaying it is Ctrl + Alt + F. If you want to do a replace just switch to the Find/Replace dialog but for find actions in which you need to see the whole editing area you should use this toolbar.
A minimum size is imposed on the dialog because if a smaller size is allowed then the controls do not fit in the available space and the result layout is really bad.

Sorin

Hi Sorin,
Yes, I use the "quick find" or F3 after I have defined more options in the full dialog, I find them very useful, thanks.
But when you want to do supervised replacements, you (AFAIK) have to keep the dialog open. I do not suggest hiding the buttons -- just a switch that is often marked "more/less", which you could use to (un)hide the "direction/scope/options" part, while leaving all the 6 buttons and 3 boxes (find, replace, XPath) visible all the time.

We will try to find a variant of the dialog with a smaller size.
