SharePoint Browser - Confirm Discard Checkout

Please add a confirmation popup when the user clicks "Discard Checkout" from SharePoint Browser view. Discard Checkout is directly below Check In and therefore very easy to mis-click.
Alternately, or additionally, allow a backup (.bak) when working on SharePoint files. Currently a backup save is only allowed when working locally. The backup could be saved locally to a temp folder, similar to the autorecovery file.
