Enabling formatting from command line

Hi,

Would it please be possible to provide the wonderfully configurable formatting features (with options like "preserve empty lines", "sort attributes" etc. which are available in oXygen) for command line scripting?

The background of my question is the need of including such specific formatting actions as a step which could be run by p:exec in a XProc pipeline.

Dear Jakub,

Unfortunately we do not have a command line for format and indent in Oxygen XML Editor. I added an internal issue based on your request and if we implement it in a future version we'll update this forum thread.

Hi Ozana,

Sure, I will add a +1 on the internal issue. But if/when the command line will be available it will require a separate commercial license to be bought.

As an update Oxygen 24 was released and it added support for format and indent from the command line based on a scripting commercial license:
