Integration with Oracle Jdeveloper

I use Oracle Jdeveloper as my main development tool on Mac. Jdeveloper is free and has decent XML tools (and Oracle has good parser and XSLT engine too.)

Since Oxygen is integrated with Eclipse, would it be feasible to integrate it with Jdeveloper? Oracle has an API for external tools/modules.

I use them separately now, and now that Oxygen has svn integrated in it, moving files between one and the other will be greatly facilitated, but it would be so great to further integrate them...

Hi,

I do not think that the fact that oXygen is available also as an Eclipse plugin can help in any way in an eventual integration with JDeveloper. Creating and maintaining a plugin (as the oXygen Eclipse plugin for instance) is far from trivial, it requires a lot of development and testing effort. Currently we have no plans to provide a plugin for JDeveloper, in fact you are the first to ask for such a plugin.

Best Regards,
George
