Pipeline XSL transformations

Would like the ability to create a pipeline of transformations. This is especially applicable for the DocBook Word2DocBook stylesheets (currenlty avail. in snapshot, not official release), where there are 4 different stylesheets that have to be run in order.

I can think of several other situations where defining a pipeline would be extremely helpful.

Hello,

We consider transformation pipelines as a future enhancement. What use cases other than Word2Docbook2PDF do you see for such a pipeline ?

I use Cocoon, and this concept is used everywhere. The idea is to use simple stylesheets that do incremental processing.

Defining a pipeline of transformations will be easier and more intuitive in a future version but this may not be implemented in the short term (next couple of months). There is the possibility to define a pipeline also in the current version, by using the Additional XSLT stylesheets button of the Edit scenario dialog. In fact this feature was present even in <oXygen/> version 5.1. Stylesheets specified in the additional stylesheets dialog are applied in a pipeline. The first stylesheet of the pipeline is the one defined in the XSL URL field, the next ones are the stylesheets specified in the additional stylesheets dialog.
