Master files renaming

Hi,

Is there an existing means of renaming or otherwise labelling Master Files in the project pane? I'm currently working with DITA-OT plugins, and therefore often find myself with multiple "build.xml" and similar files from different OT plugins; it'd be useful to be able to distinguish them at a glance.

Alternatively, might there be another way I could get the benefits of master files (i.e. mainly validation of imported files with awareness of their importing files) without using the Master Files feature directly?

Thanks!

You can create logical folders within the "Master Files" node from the Project view (right click on Master Files > New > Logical Folder) and move/group your master files (drag and drop them) in these folders. Just label the logical folders appropriately to distinguish between them.
Alternatively, might there be another way I could get the benefits of master files (i.e. mainly validation of imported files with awareness of their importing files) without using the Master Files feature directly?
For validation you could create a custom validation scenario for each master/main file that validates that specific master/main file. Then you can associate each of these scenarios with the modules of the master/main.
