Dynamic expansion of words (like emacs dynamic abbrevs)

Emacs has a fine feature called 'dynamic abbrevs'. This is bound to the alt-/ key and, when invoked after typing a few prefix chars, it searches back through the current document (and other docs of the same type) for a word that starts with the same prefix and uses it to complete the current word. Typing alt-/ multiple times just cycles through the set of completions.
This feature saves huge amounts of typing and would be a great addition to oxygen. To be of any use, it would have to be bound to a convenient key. I see that alt-/ is not currently used, perfect!
