Favourite entities and elements

Oxygen's a superb application and I can't believe it doesn't already have this feature: I probably just can't find it.

The Entities and Elements lists can be very long indeed. Could items on each be copied to sublists of favourites at the top, based on frequency of usage? I spend hours of my life searching for 'nbsp'.

Hello,

Thank you for your consideration.

Unfortunately, there is currently not possible to prioritize elements and entities, neither in the Content Completion list, nor in the Elements/Entities views in oXygen.
You can not copy some favorite elements/entities in a special subfolder at the top of the lists.

However, what it is indeed possible for the time being is that during the same session, the recently used elements are displayed at the top of the content completion list, so you might find this somehow useful.

Code templates could also come to your help, so you could just "juggle" with them, adequate to your use-case. You could try to define some code templates for the appropriate editor in the oXygen menu Options > Preferences > Editor > Templates > Code Templates and just disable others which you do not consider using in your work.
This way, you could have faster access to the code templates you use most using the appropriate shortcut "Ctrl+Shift+Space" ("Cmd+Shift+Space" on Mac).

We already have some improvements logged in our internal issue/improvement tracking system for the Elements/Entities View, so I have just added your feedback as an improvement request on it.

Regards,
Costin

Costin,
Thanks for understanding what I meant even when I hadn't clearly written it. The feature you say would be possible is exactly what I hoped for.

I hadn't thought of using code templates -- it's a lot more elegant than my quick-and-dirty method of copying a few empty elements and entities into the topic template.
Many thanks
