In the document type association dialog I can add a schema, which is used by Oxygen when no schema ist detected in the xml document. Is there a way to bring Oxygen to use the schema in the document type association instead of the one, defined in the xml?

Greets & Thx,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,

No, that is just the fallback schema but:

If you edit the document type association, in the "Validation" tab you can create a new validation scenario and use it as the default validation scenario (check the checkbox next to it).
You can edit the DITA document type to see how this is done there.
That default validation scenario should be used instead of the schema specified in the document.

or:

You can have your own XML catalog which maps the schema specified in the XML document to some other schema location.
