Hi,

We do not have a clear idea of the functions of the tab "Extensions" (Document Type window)?
Could you briefly summarize the advantages of using these extensions?

What is the difference with the use of a plugin?

If you have documents that discuss the potential of these extensions, we are interested.

thank you,
Vincent.

Hi Vincent,

The "Extensions" tab of the "Document Type" window allows you to add oXygen extensions for a specific type of document (for example DITA, Docbook or XHTML), in Author mode.
The oXygen plugins allows you to make a more general customization of the editor appearance and functionality (including the possibility to customize also the Text mode), no matter the type of the edited document is.

See the following topic from our online user manual for details about the customizations that can be set through the "Extensions" tab of the "Document Type" window:

Mihaela
