Migration of custom DITA-OT plugins

Hi,

We are using Oxygen XML Editor/Author 22.0. We have DITA-OT custom developed plugins for HTML/PDF/OOXML output.

It's difficult for information developers to add/install custom DITA-OT plugins every time they have latest version of Oxygen.

Can we add/install DITA-OT custom plugins as an add-ons in oxygen? If not, how best we can migrate DITA-OT plugins every time Information Developers reinstall/install latest oxygen versions?

Thanks,
Samba.

Hi Samba,

We do not have an Oxygen add-on to provide for extra DITA OT plugins because DITA OT plugins need to reside in a specific "plugins" folder in the DITA OT publishing engine.
We do have an Oxygen plugin extension which can provide an entire DITA OT distribution:
https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/ ... nsion.html

so you could copy the entire DITA-OT distribution which is bundled with Oxygen to a separate location, install the plugins in it, then bundle it as an add-on.
An example of a working DITA-OT add-on for Oxygen:

https://github.com/oxygenxml/dita-ot-3x-plugin

Once the add-on is installed the end users need to go to the Preferences->DITA page and choose to use the add-on DITA OT as a default DITA OT distribution.
