oXygen spelling check on Tiger

Running oXygen 1.5.1 on Mac OSX 10.4 attempting to do a spelling check from the Edit menu, I see a dialog saying: Error: Unreachable language en. Clicking OK, I see a dialog saying: Errorno language selected. Clicking OK again I get a blank spelling check dialog.
Any idea what's wrong?
