I am running Oxygen 14.2, build 2013030817. Mac OS 10.8.3.

Anytime I have Oxygen open for longer than five minutes my fan comes on my MacBook. I check Activity Monitor and Oxygen is the culprit. Are there any known issues with my setup?

You didn't mention anything specific about your setup. There are no known issues in this regard with v14.2 on OS X 10.8.3.

If the fan comes on, that's usually caused by CPU usage. Is that what you see in Activity Monitor? Is Oxygen continuously using the CPU while running in the background?

If you're actively working in Oxygen (editing, validating, transforming), it's normal to have CPU usage spikes and these may eventually trigger the fan.
