Hello,

In text mode, I can split (horizontaly or vertically) the view in two parts, by using the menu Windows/split Editor ...

I want to know if it's possible do the same thing in the author mode ?

Hi Sébastien,

This is not possible right now, we have an improvement request for it and maybe we'll manage to add this feature in a future version.
I will update this thread when this happens.

I saw that a new version 14.2 was now available.
With this new version, is it possible to split windows in Author mode ?

I want implement this part with the author component.
How I can do that ?

Hi,

We have an internal issue to add a split window editing mode to the Author page and I added your feedback to it. I'm afraid it is not high priority for us but we'll update this forum thread if we implement it in a future version.
As a possible workaround:
Recently we added a new add on named "Translator Helper" to the Oxygen default add-ons repository (main Oxygen menu Help-Install new add-ons).
Once this add-on is installed and Oxygen restarted, in the main menu Window->"Show view" you can show the "Translator Helper" side view. it has a "Refresh" button which can be pressed and it will load in a mini-Author page the content of the current edited XML document, if the current edited XML document is also opened in the Author page. You can use this mini side view to copy-paste content to the main edited XML document.
