Location of user preferences/scenarios files

oXygen 13.1 just crashed and wiped out my customized transformation scenarios.
I can restore from a backup made a few days ago, but I need to know where the transformation scenarios are stored, what directory and file names on Windows 7.
This information is not in the oXygen documentation. It should be added.
Thanks,
Tim.

Hello,
The transformation scenarios are kept in the options file.
Depending on the platform the options file is located as follows:
- Windows XP - [user-home-folder]\Application Data\com.oxygenxml
- Windows Vista/7 - [user-home-folder]\AppData\Roaming\com.oxygenxml
- Mac OS X - [user-home-folder]/Library/Preferences/com.oxygenxml
- Linux - [user-home-folder]/.com.oxygenxml
The options file for Oxygen XML Editor 13.1 is named:
oxyOptionsSa13.1.xml
If you are using Oxygen XML Author add ".author" to the name of these folders.
e.g. [user-home-folder]\Application Data\com.oxygenxml.author
For Oxygen XML Author 13.1 the options file is named:
oxyAuthorOptionsSa13.1.xml
If you are using Oxygen XML Developer add ".developer" to the name of these folders.
e.g. [user-home-folder]\Application Data\com.oxygenxml.developer
For the Oxygen XML Developer 13.1 the options file is named:
oxyDeveloperOptionsSa13.1.xml
Note that the scenarios and also the options can be imported/exported directly from the application, the Options menu. The same type of file as the options file is imported/exported.

Adrian

Hi Adrian,
Is this still true for oXygen Author 16 and up? I just checked my local folder and it's saying that the location doesn't exist.
Thanks in advance.

Disregard my last message, I was looking in App Data and not Application Data! Sorry!

Hi,
I'm mentioning this here, in case anyone else encounters it.
In Windows if you have trouble locating your AppData/Application Data folder (it is hidden), open Windows Explorer, type in the Address bar %APPDATA% and press ENTER.

Adrian
