Build number updated but date unchanged on download page

This morning oXygen told me there was an update to 12.0, so I went to the download page. It shows the release date as September 14 (which is the same as the original version 12.0 I downloaded on that day). However, checking the build number shows 2010092112, as opposed to 2010091411, which is my version.

I think it would make sense for the download page to show the release date of the current build, so it's clear whether the download version is newer than your current version or not.

Cheers,
Martin

Hello,

I understand your confusion but the release date refers to the original release date of that Oxygen version(12.0 in this case), not the release date of the current build.
The build number in itself is a date/time-stamp(YYYYMMDDHH) so you can deduce the date from it: 2010 09 21 12

We'll discuss this internally and if we find it appropriate we will change it.

Note that if we change the release date for each build there will be situations where the build has been made earlier than it was released, so the release date and build number would not necessarily coincide.

Regards,
Adrian

Hello Martin,

We have implemented your suggestion by adding the date of the current build. See: http://www.oxygenxml.com/download_oxygenxml_editor.html

Thank you,
Mihai

That's great -- much easier to understand. Thanks!
