unable to register purchase in linux

Hi,
I bought oXygen today, and I bought the version that runs on win, mac and linux. I have a machine that dual boots linux and win7, and I wanted to be able to edit xml files in either partition.
I got everything going in windows fine, but when I launch oxygen.sh in linux, I get a message saying it's an unsupported version of the jvm.
I hit "continue" and then....and this is the annoying part...a swing metal window opens asking me to enter all my registration info, but I can't resize it, and I don't have any way to scroll to the bottom to hit "enter" or "submit" or whatever it is I need to hit.
What is the best version of the jvm to use under ubuntu 10.04 (amd 64 bit), and has anyone else run into the problem I described?
thanks,
bp
